About 90% of the entrepreneurs who contact me for help want to increase their sales and profits. Most want to double their revenue from the previous year.
Doubling sales puts double the stress on the infrastructure of your business. And very few have the infrastructure in place to sustain that level of growth.
So, together, we start doubling your sales by working on the infrastructure of your business.
Signs Your Infrastructure Is Not Ready For Growth:
- You are working around the clock
- You are working around the clock – and not getting paid for it
- You are always scrambling and putting out fires
- You are late on order fulfillment
- You have no profit
- Your revenue is mostly going to outsourcing
- You are not working in your Zone of Genius
There are more, but these are the ones I come across most often.
How To Prepare Your Infrastructure for Business Growth
There are 7 main departments within your business:
Accounting | Human Resources | IT | Marketing | Sales | Product Development | Fulfilment
Each of those departments has its own repeatable process or system. There are things you do daily, weekly or monthly to keep your business running smoothly.
The chaos comes when those departments are not systematized. It comes when you are re-inventing the wheel each time you work within that department.
One method to create the systems and processes is to track those activities you are continually doing. Label 7 blank papers with your 7 departments and track your work. By doing this, you slowly create your user manual for your business. The beauty is seeing the repeatable processes emerge.
The advantages of seeing and knowing your systems is hugely impactful. Not only can you quickly identify where you are spending your time and energy – but it becomes easier to spot inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
Once you know your inefficiencies and your bottlenecks – then you can dive in and make your move… either outsource, automate or streamline. You can identify areas where you are losing money, and areas that have the potential to earn you more money. You can create hiring plans so when your sales increase, you are ready to hire. Or we can implement tools to automate basic functions so when your sales increase – the workload is not just yours to shoulder.
