Overwhelming, right? Doesn’t have to be…
One of the hottest, highest converting opt-in tools to attract people to your email list is using a quiz.

2. Choose your quiz type
There are three unique types of quizzes to help you build your list and begin to engage with your audience: personality quizzes, scored quizzes, assessments.
Personality quizzes –> This is the most common type of quiz… nearly 70% of the quizzes made with TryInteract are personality type quizzes. That makes a ton of sense because personality quizzes are also the most shared and most clicked-on type of quiz. These are the type of quizzes that go “What Type of (Blank) are You?” and are always being shared on Facebook.
Hey – look at this – here’s a great example of a personality quiz 🙂 :
Scored Quiz –> The second most common type of quiz built is a scored quiz, also commonly called a tally quiz. This is the type of quiz you might be familiar with because it’s the same kind you’d see printed on the back of a magazine where you add up your points through the quiz and your outcome is based on the total number of points you get.
Assessment Quiz –> This type of quiz is set up where every question has one correct answer and your outcome is based on how many answers you get right in the quiz. Assessments often come in the format of “How much do you know about (something)?” or “Do You Know (Something)?” like the online marketing quiz pictured below.
3. Style your quiz
Add your colors, images that are on brand for you, brand colors, your logo, your voice – make it yours. The key here is to have fun and ensure none of the answers are “wrong” or “bad”. Everyone is welcome wherever they are in their business journey.
4. Integrate your quiz
Connect the quiz to your email provider (Aweber, Mailchimp, Infusionsoft, Active Campaign, ConvertKit, Constant Contact, Ontraport – you get the idea)
Build your email list. It’s your gold for business growth. Create a follow up email autoresponder series to on-board and acclimate your new quiz takers into the culture of your company. Let them get to know you, add value to them, teach them, make them feel special. One nice perk is TryInteract has some autoresponders ready to go for you – just edit them in your brand voice.
5. Follow up with your quiz takers
Once someone takes your quiz, the kiss of death will be to never contact them again. Shift to a nurturing role where you love on them, connect with them regularly and build trust and connection. Commit to connecting with them on a regular schedule, and ensure all your touches add value to them, and their lives. Position yourself as the expert in your field.
6. Promote your quiz
Once your quiz is embedded into your website, it’s time to share it.
You’ve spent all the time creating it – now get it in the hands of those who need you the most. Don’t keep your gems a secret. You bring tremendous value to the world, you are doing your clients and potential clients a disservice if you bring them into your network – how else can you help them?
The best thing about TryInteract is there is a free version you can sign up for – this allows you to kick the tires and test it out to see how it could work for you.
