Last week, I wrote about How to Survive Summer While Your Grow Your Business.
We did a pinky swear that you would focus on, if nothing else, your marketing.
I must have struck a chord because many of you wrote back asking about the marketing – How do I market, What do I market, When do I market and Why is it so important??
Let’s answer the easiest question first.
Why is marketing so important?
The How, What and When has more complexity to the answer.
Your marketing strategy will have one of three goals:
- 1. Generate more leads
- 2. Convert those leads into buyers
- 3. Sell to your current customers
Once you know your end focus – that will dictate what you are sharing and to whom.
Regardless of your desired outcome – your marketing goals are related to two things:
- 1. Maintain and grow visibility to your target audience.
- 2. Gain credibility with your target audience.
So when your time is at a premium, your goal is to work with purpose and intention. When you sit down to work, do a powerful action to get visibility to your target audience, and to gain credibility with that audience.
So HOW do we do that?
I’ve created a cheatsheet for you to download and use. Included is a list of ways to get visibility, and establish credibility, as well as a planner to help you with purposeful and intentional marketing actions to help you accelerate business growth.
Powerful actions don’t have to be grandiose. They don’t have to be huge. They don’t have to be overwhelming. But you do need to take action if you want results.
I challenge you to sit down today, when you’re ready to do your focused, business growing work, and ask yourself:
1. What is one thing I can do today to get visibility with a new prospective customer?
2. What is one thing I can do today to establish credibility with a new prospective customer?
Leave a comment and let me know what you’re doing that is generating the best results for you!
